Ignition Module Problem?

I have a h reg 1990 323se. She's always been reliable as long as I've owned her (3 years).
She broke down on me and the AA said it looked as though it was the 'coil'.
I replaced the coil with a generic one and still no joy..I've had someone look at it and there seems to be a weak spark from the Kinglead when testing both the new and old coils.
She'll still not fire, the fuel is getting through and I've since been told by an auto electrician 'the coil rarely goes' and since there is a weak spark this indicates that the module probably is the cause.
Does anyone agree with this diagnosis?
Any idea where I could get a module at the right price?
Would be gratefull for any advice, many thanks, Dave.

The electronic ignition module or ignitor basically turns the primary current to the coil on and off, causing coil magnetic field to collapse, thus providing a high voltage discharge to the distributor cap which then distributes it to the plug wires and plugs. Before you diagnose the ignitor as the source of your problems, inspect the distributor cap and rotor, test the coil high tension lead (the one going to the distributor).

Ignition module should be available at any good auto parts store for this car.
