Could anyone plz tell me where the fuel filter is located on the 99 323 sedan and also how to access it, I know how to access the fuel pump easy, but the filter, I cant find, plz help, thanks..

I'm new to this forum, and I am by no means a car expert, however, from what I've seen about other models and different years, things don't seem all that different... especially the issue of removing the stock stereo (reason I'm here.)
With that said, I just wanted to let you know that I found the fuel filter on my '97 Protegé behind the engine, right up against the firewall, and there wasn't any real easy way of accessing it. Maybe from the bottom, I don't know. Like I said, I'm not expert, so changing my fuel filter seemed like a pretty big pain in the butt for me. Hope that helps!

Some 98, all 99 sedan (mazda proteges) dont come with a fuel filter, only a sachet on the end of the fuel pump which is yes, accessed through under the rear seat or removal of the tank, if you need anymore help, just contact me on carmodificationsimports@hotmail.com
