My 96 millenia s. with 67,000k sometimes makes this weird noise like grinding or a cluttering sound that I can also feel with my foot on the left front side of the car. My mechanic said it was in the transmission and would still be o.k to drive. Please any advise would be greatly appreciated.It sometimes happens when I come off the expressway and drive under 30mph or sometimes it happens when I just start driving it cold and after awhile it stops. Other then that the car rides like a dream.

P.S -- also using up alot of power steering fluid recently.

I would look closely at the steering rack.

i had the same problem, it ended up being a busted cv joint it cost me about $95 dollars to fix
