Having problems with power steering, PLEASE HELP!!!August 2 2003 at 9:16 PM

| I was driving down the freeway and when I stopped at the off ramp stoplight. I accidentally stalled my car out. When I started it back up and got going I found that my power steering was not functioning. I am driving a Mazda MX6 early 90s. What could the problem be? Please help. ASAP

Check the belts and P/S fluid level.

Also, some power steering pump pulleys are an interference fit onto the pump shaft and if not installed corectly, can come loose. Make sure that the pulley is not freewheeling on the pump shaft.
