I am currently fixing up a RX7 2 door coupe. The car was more or less given to me by my uncle after it had been sitting for a few months without anyone driving it. It only has 50,000 miles on it so I figure it's worth spending some time cleaning it and installing a new stereo. Everything else seems to be in good shape. My only problem is that he lost the keys and can't find them anywhere. While he's been looking high and low i figured i'd try something else. My first question is, are both the door and the ignition keys the same? Second, if not does anybody know which lock would have a key code or any other helpful info(driver or passenger?) Thanks for any input.

Get the VIN and go to the dealership. They SHOULD be able to get you a new set of keys made, according to my dad. I was thinking about replacing my door locks on my RX7, until I figured out the wonders WD-40 would do to the doorlock cylinder.
