My 1990 Mazda 323F SOHC (alias Astina) has only had one breakdown in the last 4 years of happy motoring - an ingniter - okay, it could have picked a better time to do it (1 a.m. New Year's day) - but apart from that it's been brilliant, until now. It has recently started overheating... after one mile the temperature gauge hits hot and you can hear ugly boiling noises from the radiator. I'm guessing that its the thermostat - but here's the problem, WHERE THE HELL IS IT? Anyone able to help?

It's actually INSIDE the housing that your top radiator hose leads to!!
