I'm looking to purchase a mid-90's 929, just had some questions for any owners out there. Was any particular year better than the other? Did any year have any problems that I need to know about, steer clear of? What should I look for when inspecting the car before purchase? Thanks for the info.

I have a 92 929 w/180k. These cars are very nice. Possibly the nicest car for the money anywhere in my opinion. However I bought one with high mileage and wish I had it to do over so I could enjoy the car for years to come. Here is what I've learned ....

The 94 and 95 are the ones to look for - More comfortable seat belts and cupholders that were not in 92 & 93.

These cars can be had with 60k and less if you are patient. I've even seen 30 and 40k. Be prepared to pay
between 4k and 6k. A good deal is 4500 to 5200. Have trans serviced right away. THey tend to fail between 60 and 70k. Trans cooler clogging is primary culprit.

Good luck!
