the radio has suddenly died in my '95 626 es. It is the stock mazda cassette unit. Guy is supposed to be here on Thursday to pick it up. Please help. Fixable?

my radio died on my 94 protege after i was in a minor accident... we tried many things before hitting a scrap yard and getting a cd player to put in it.

There is no telling whether your radio is fixable without removing it and having it checked out by a competent outfit. It could have an internal fuse that blew. Did you try the obvious - i.e. check if the radio fuse in your fuse box did not burn out?

I never got it fixed(I did check the fuses), but the car has been delivered at a $100 discount. I thought I got off pretty easy.
