ok, so single girl here and showing it today... i have a 94 mazda protege and i need to change the tail light... besides not having the faintest idea how, i also don't know what kind of tail light i need... i know enought to know that there have to be different types (stop laughing) lol

What exactly do you need to change? Burned out taillight bulb, or cracked taillight lens, or a complete tailight assembly?

Then look from inside the car. You will find a screw in holder at the back of the globe that is out (probably hidden behind a bit of carpet or suchlike). The globe will come out if you push and twist it. Take the faulty globe into the shop and check the numbers stamped on the side, and check how many lead blob terminals are on the bottom, and then get a new one that matches, and reverse how you got it out.
