Hi-
On my 1992 b2200 the horn quit working. I checked the wire at the steering wheel and the relay seems to work.. I put a meter on it and get 12v when I push the button. I check the ohms on the horn and it read near 0. I went to U-pull it and got a new horn unit for $2.50 and put the meter on it. It read about 4 ohms, which tells me the old horn was fried. I put the new horn on and it worked fine for two beeps, then nothing. Is my relay bad or what???

You'll need to see if you're getting 12 volts positive to the horn; if not, work your way "backward" to find out why you're not.

Most horns are adjustable with the nut and screw in the centre, if the "new" one hasent been going for a while, it probably needs adjusting. Loosen the lock nut and screw the screw in and out until it starts working. If that fails, go look for another"new
" one.

Horns are almost always the problem. If you don't mind the extra work, pull it back off and put a jumper wire from the positive on the battery to the spade terminal on the horn and ground the horn body or bracket to the negative terminal or another CLEAN metal ground. Should honk - probably won't. Go swap it for another.

You MIGHT have a relay problem if you put some big old buick horn on the end of the horn line and it pulled too many amps through the relay and damaged it. If you are replacing the original horn with a Japanese horn you'll be o.k..
