| I replaced the water pump,ran the car with and without thermostat,replaced the fan cluch. I checked the timing of the car and nothing was wrong, the timing was correct.I also took the radiator off, sprayed the inside with a pressure washer, radiator is working fine.But the car still OVERHEATS
anybody have any clues what could be wrong!!! |

Is still the radiator. At that age, if it probably needs to be rodded, that is get a radiator shop to take it apart, clean out each water passage with a long poking device and reassemble. Problem with the pressure washer is that it will only clean out a few of the many passages.
Other suspect could be the temp gauge or sender, if theres no other symptoms of overheating other than gauge position, or perhaps a wrong or stuffed radiator cap. | |
