Please, please help. I drove my 2000 Mazda Protege through a deep puddle (by accident) and my intake system sucked water into my engine and ruined it. I deaperately need to find a website from which I can order a BRAND NEW(not rebulit) 1.6 or 2 liter Mazda engine which is complete and ready to be bolted to my transmission. The engine can be turbo charged or not. Time is of the essence!! mandajs2002@yahoo.com

Why in the world do you need to order an engine from a website? Try calling auto parts stores, call Mazda dealers to see if anybody else sells brand new late model Mazda engines. Could be that you can only buy a new engine for a 2000 model car through a Mazda dealer. I would shop around for the best price then. There are some Mazda dealers who sell parts at a substantial discount.

I am sure you do not want to pay the deler price for a new engine. Another possibility is getting a used engine from a late model Protege wreck that was severely rearended or hit in the side. This may be your best bet.
