Power Window's on 88 929 keep blowing fuses!September 27 2003 at 12:35 PM No score for this post | Andy |
| Help! my Power Window fuse is blow after about 2 seconds of use.
~ I've tried entering 2 30amp base fuses and 1 30amp fuse to see if it could take it. Each time I put the new one in it's blown and the window rises about an inch.
Thanx in advance

Don't even think about putting high amperage fuses in the circuit anymore to see if "it can take it". You obviously have a short to ground in the wiring which means that insulation on one of the hot wires in your window motor or switch harness is pinched and touching metal part of your door. Take the door apart, find the short and fix it by taping up the wire.
People you use high amp fuse trick or even sticking a penny in place of the fuse have learn the hard way when they burn their wiring harness or even cause a car fire. | |
