| OK maybe I'm a dummy but...just bought a Millenia, 1995 w/83000 miles. ($3995) Dummy cuz I locked the one key I had inside, involuntarily electing to drive another car for a few days. I called Pop-a-Lock to open my car. They jimmied a rear door, causing the alarm to go off. Later I realized my ignition was disabled, frozen. Still is! How do I reset that stuff? |

Wow, you sure did it to yourself didn't you? Try locking the driver's door with the key, then unlocking it again. Then try starting the car. The car's alarm system did what it is supposed to do, that is, disable the gas or fuel pump (I believe). Here's a silly suggestion - phone a Mazda dealer's service manager. Then buy an extra key. They are usually special laser cut keys and are cut only by Mazda in Battle Creek, Michigan. The cost is about $150 U.S. funds but that is just an estimate. The local hardware store or Home Depot etc cannot cut those keys nor do they even have blanks. You can get blanks from eBay sellers for about $15 bucks but only a well equipped locksmith can make copies. Lots of luck. | |
