| Does anyone know a trick to getting a stuck CD out? It is still spinning even after the car is shut off. |

Try to remove "Room" fuse then recheck.

I have had the same problem. I also have a 2001 Mazda Protege. My cd player ate my cd then continued to try and spit it back out. I found out that my belt on my ejector slipped off. I have not found a way to replace this so I have come to the conclusion to buy a new cd player and put it in. Yes this sounds drastic but it is the best way to do it. I'm glad I'm not the only one w/ this problem! |

Try dissconnecting the battery for a minute and reconnecting it. I have seen this work on other cars. |

See if there's a little hole in the front, like there are on computer CD drives, then insert a paper clip to eject the CD. Disconnecting/reconnecting battery is a good idea too. | |
