626 no start when fan runsJanuary 20 2004 at 8:32 AM No score for this post | Anonymous |
| 89 626 has a on-going no-start problem. Whenever the key is turned and the electric fan comes on the car won't start(cold car garaged over night). Play with the key turn it on off a few times and the fan will kick off and the car will start. Fan relay, bad fan? Help |

could be the starter motor have the same problem with my '84 626, just the solenoid playin up over time. give the solenoid a few good knocks with a spanner or small hammer and you should be right, if that dont work then get it cheched by an auto electrician cause could be faulty ignition wiring. |

You may have a bad ignition switch or a loose connection. |

if you leave the car running and the fan starts to run and the car shuts off you need to first check the ground connection behind the battery. it will be the white plug with about five wires and bolted to the car. holla back |

I am constantly amazed, first a stupid question, then 15 months later a couple of vague maybes!!!And in response to your anticipated response, no, I probably couldn't do any better!! However, great to see your input, however backhanded that may sound!! | |
