Hello, can anyone tell me WHYYY my orange check engine light comes on when i give the car pretty good gas, then after 10 seconds or so (it varies, sometimes shorter, sometimes longet) then it shuts off. It also seems to come one when i reach speeds close to 80 mph. What does this mean?? Ive given my car tuneups, ive changed wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, air filter, fuel pressure regulator.

Please help!

I removed my MAp sensor; small black box on top of throttle housing. Sprayed throttle cleaner on the small wires on the bottom of it to remove carbon build-up. I also removed the EGR valve; on the back of enigine; be careful not to loose the steel gasket. Again sprayed throttle cleaner to remove carbon. EGR is a real bitch to get at, cleaning the MAP sensor may be sufficient. Once cleaned, dryed and re-installed, leave the negative battery cable disconected for 5-10 minuates so the check engine light will clear out. After a bit of driving the computer should adjust and hopfully you will have fixed the problem.
