I own a 2000 Mazda Millenia Millennium Edition and my checkengine light came on for the first time ever. Ihave had my car for almost three years. Found out it is the fuel filter with the code the computer gave witth a diagnostic test. Where in the world is the fuel filter located in these cars?

Sorry, I don't have an answer to your question, but I would like to know if you have had numerous problems with your car. I am currently looking to buy one. Should I reconsider?

Millenia fuel filter is located on top of the fuel tank. You can access to the fuel filter from inside the trunk. Remove the trunk floor cover. You will see a metal cover with three holding screws. The fuel filter is under that cover.

wow, that is one of the weiredest locations I have ever heard of, my girlfriends got a Millenia, it runs well and all, so far, but its kinda designed like a Ford, or not with a just any mechanic in mind. Its kinda hard to work on like a Ford with awkward , not well thought out mechanical engineering. SO its almost like the dealearship or what to get one w2orked on, well maybe not as bad a a Ford where you have to go through your legs and around your back then under your arm pit just to pick your knows. Try changing an oil pump on a bronco 2 4x4. the whole sub-frame and front cross member and all gotta be moved outta the way and thats just to get to the oil pan. Now a subaru,... well i cancange the oil in bout 30 seconds, plugs in 5 min. belt for cams, water pump, ect. in about 1 hour or less, the valve lash in bout 30 mins, starter bout 10-15 mins, alt. bout 15 mins, cv joint bout 45 min to 1hour 20 min. all of course if the bolts are in good condition. I gotta do the clutch next, and I'll just umbolt the motor monts and pull the con coil, radiator and push foward a few inches, then slide it in. MY first time on this job so it will take MANy hours and I will get flywheel turned, and replace main rear seal.
but is that all there is to the millenia filter?? doesnt sond too bad , like having to crawl under the middle of a Ford. Yes the subarus right in the engine compartment and takes about 2 min to install....gotta love those indestructable half a million miles to a car, thats built for a consumer, not a dealership servic center or new car showroom floor.
