The engine runs great but...has an intermitten low oil pressure condition.The O.P. indicator shows low condition (Needle drops to about where the "Handle" is located on the gauge) and the check engine light comes on.A Knocking sound low in engine follows? But does not stay constant.....I have 80k+ miles on this Unit Maintainence has been regular.I can drive for a couple weeks with no reoccuring Symptom. Also,I can detect no Lifter noise during these episodes.I am wondering If there could be a problem with the pressure regulator in the oil pump.Has anyone had a simular problem and what was the outcome....Thanx Wm."Perry" Thurston
