I cannot find the thermostat on my 93' MX-6 LS. I have followed the radiator hose to the block with no luck, I have looked everywhere and cant find the damn thing. Is it inside of another housing or.....in the trunk? lol. Thanks for the help.

it sholud be right in front of the block where the hose meets it. prob a housing with 2 bolts holding it in

On most cars, if you follow the upper rad hose to the block, thats where you will find your thermostat. Well, nobody said Mazdas were normal. On my DOHC 3.0 929, its located between the LOWER rad hose and the block. Harder to get to, of course. Love those Japanese engineers.

I have the same car, It's right by the heat shield of your exhaust manifold, It's a big ass hose you cant miss it.
