Where do i begin...My engine over heated..$4k later engine was refurbished..recently..my car turns off after about a minute of starting..i turn it back on and it drives. A) It takes me an hour to get to 45 MPH B) Sometimes if i am at a red-light for two long it turns off after shaking a bit C) Acceleration is slow D) The TCS comes on randomly and the "HOLD" light turns on an starts to blink, when this happens my car's RPM jump dramastically, causing me to waste gas faster..
I took it to pep boys and they said i needed a knock sensor and wires, and ingnition and this and that...totaling over a $1k..IM pretty desperate..any ideas or suggestions?

Simple fix: Have your traction control disconnected and your problems will probably go away. Mine almost drove me crazy!

NO TCS but at least your car will drive properly.

Also could be a faulty EGR boost sensor. Mounted on the center of the firewall just above the engine. Has an electrical plug and a vacuum hose on it. Unplug it and see if the problem goes away. Driving with it disconnected doesn't seem to do any harm or cause any driveability problems.

I want to make sure i know where this EGR thing is..I disconnected a sensor that goes into the inake hose and the car does not turn off, but the only thing is that the car wont turn on if its not connected.

is the TCS sensor the one that goes to the intake by the Air Filter?

Mazda does not have anything called TCS sensor.

I really want to know how to disconnect TCS. There is no stand alone TCS control module in Millenia.
