i have a fuel economy problem on my 89 p/u w/feed back carb i have new plugs cap and rotor and cleaned the carb any ideas about the feed back system. coolant temp sensor? metering rod duty cycle?

If you tap on the top of the carb, with the air cleaner lid off, does the engine run smoother? If so, it needs an air/fuel mixture solenoid.
