I have tested two millys lately and both of them when starting the engine make a rattle kinda of sound on the side of the belts. Sounds like the engine is gonna die soon. I want to know if that is normal with the Mazda Millenia's Miller cycle engine. I know it is a totally diferent engine then any other car, but still I do not belive that it should be making this sound. When the millys start the engines work normally. If you can please tell me if all the millys are making this kind of sound when starting I'd really be happy....thanks

Not to sure, mine makes quite a loud whine that seems to be louder than it was last year...could this be the supercharger or is the the tranny? 75k miles.

Regarding the supercharger...is this something that can be easily replaced (i know it costs alot) but is it one that can be a do it yourself and are there any gaskets that needed. I've seen some superchargers on ebay periodically taken off wrecked cars.
