How can I find repair info for rear axel and/or bearings for rear axel, 91 mpv 4 cyl 2wd? I need ti get an exploded view, and repair information. Thanks. bf

If you are getting a whining noise at certain speeds only (like 40 to 50 MPH in top gear) when the axle is loaded or unloaded, then it is not an unusual condition and has to do with the gear backlash setting and desoign of the gears. I have this problem with my Nissan pickup too but it has no effect on axle life or performance and some whine is there only when coasting in a narrow speed range. Is this your problem? If so, I would not attemp to fix it. You may make the problem worse. Overhauling the axle requires precise shimming and backlash adjustment of gears.
