I know that engine tolerances have gotten closer in years but I find it hard to believe that 5W-20 weight oil provides adequate protection since I live in South Florida.........Comments?

5W20 is recommended by Mazda Corporation, for optimal economy and engine wear protection. Check the owners manual for recommendations, or the local dealer in your area!

I have to believe the mechanical engineers know what they are doing. Seems like a light oil to use but if thats what it calls for obviously I will since I want to keep the car long term and also care for it.........Rick
