I was wondering if there was a way--preferably easy--to disconnect the security alarm for a 1996 Mazda Millenia? It sounds off for no reason, and I have recently discovered that this is a fairly common complaint. Then again, I recently bought the car. The closest dealer is 50 miles away, and before I make the trip, I was hoping someone could share their expertise.

...Or maybe not disconnect the alarm, but adjust the sensitivity? I've read that the panel/box to adjust the sensitivity is under the dash above the pedals--but that's more in reference to the Protege. I'm hoping it's the same for the '96 Millenia as well. Either way, if ANYBODY at all knows how to disconnect the alarm or adjust the sensitivity, please HELP!!
