B2000 '83 CANNOT IDLE HATES TO START UP HELP PLEEEASE

When i i go to use it to get it warmed up i have to put the choke fully out and drive with it out for a good 5 minutes before it wil let its self idle kind of. When i depress the accelerator it dies in the ass unless i sit their pumping it !! It also use alllllot of petrol like half a litre a km Anyone know how to fix any of these problems? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRICIATED!!

I feel your pain, same scenario on a 92 B2200, found a worn out idle control switch (located on front of my nikki carb), am on this site looking for one.

Get the carb rebuilt, the accelerator pump section is probably shot.
