I am in Japan and the Owners Manual is in Japanese. What does a blinking hold light mean. And also what is the Hold button for.

The hold mode stops the automatic spped change operation and has 3 positions. The hold mode is used when starting from a stop on a slippery surface, when driving up steep inlcines, and for braking assistance.

If the Hold light flashes, the transaxle has an electrical problem.

I also have the same problem.. If someone know what the exact solution to this problem is please let me know.

My hold light flashed because the throttle positioning sensor was not in the right position, trial and error finally got it right!

These transmissions have their own trouble codes and readers

My hold light was on due to a faulty speed sensor in the transmission. I took the car to the dealer and they pulled the trouble code in 15 minutes. I ordered the part and put it in myself, another 15 minutes.
