I am not sure how to remove the original stereo receiver that came with the car. If someone can tell me where I need to start to get to the receiver I would greatly appreciate it.

First you need to go to an auto parts store to get a radio removal tool. The tool looks like a "C" shape. There should be two "C" shapes in the kit.

Carefully remove two molded plastic pcs on either side of the radio. You will see two holes on either side of the radio. Insert the two "C" shaped prongs into the holes on both sides until it snaps in place. Carefully Pull on the tool to pull the radio out.
