1991 626 Seat belt sensor bad?

Greetings - my 1991 Mazda 626 LX has intermittantly problems with the shoulder belts. Sometimes they work real smooth, other times they erractically go into position after a few minutes and other times just don't work at all (which make steering a bit difficult). I'm pretty sure it isn't the motor. Any suggestions on where and how to change the sensor or other ideas? Thanks in advance! PS 242,000+ miles on it, one owner!

I have it related to moisture. We had a dry spell and it worked fine until the first rain. Now it doesn't work at all until there are about 30 hours of dry time. Anyone know where the sensor is? JR
