Now I'm really confused! Can someone help me with the function of the vaccumvalves located on the firewall.

I have problems with really bad idle when engine is cold. After further investigation found that the chocke engages too much. A small opening of the chocke causes normal running. Tried to understand the function of the chocke valve. And found out that two vaccum units adjust the choke. Followed the cables from the left side of the carb and found that this is connected to a vaccum valve on the firewall. If I remove the orange connector to the vaccum valve everything runs as it should (except a little bit poorer startability when cold). Seems to me that the from where does this valve get it's signals? Where are the sensors/switches? Is this a "additional chocke" function for starting at cold weather?
