OK, her begins a long story. I bought a 95 Milennia 2.5 for really cheap. It only cost me 500 bucks because a very angry soon-to-be ex husband jumped up and down on the roof after being served with divorce papers. The water pump needed to be replaced immediately. I have an independant mechanic who works from home who replaced the pump, along with the plugs and plug wires while he was at it. New pump upped the pressure, thereby causing hoses to bust. That was to be expected, no big deal, replaced them. The car ran fine for a while, hen was leaking coolant directly from a joint in the radiator that was cracked. Attempted to fix with stop leak...bought and installed a new radiator. Car ran fine for a while. One day it randomly started to jerk like I had bad fuel, began to overheat, i pulled over and it died. Coolant had been released through the pressure cap. After the car cooled, it started again, and died after two minutes of running. Also while checking plugs and wires again plug boot(?) fell off inside..the...whatever that thing is called that has the hole in it for the plugs. (sorry, this car has been only a brief crash course in minor mechanics for me) Cant figure how im going to get it out. Have no idea what the hell is wrong with it. Was told the jerking could have been caused by MAF (?) sensor. checked it, all seemed fine. I am at my wits end, and nearing the end of my pocketbook. Any comments would be helpful. Thanks

Hannah, To get the boot out a long set of needle nose pliers or a scribe which is a tool that kinda looks like an ice pic without the handle should work. The place that the boot fell in is just a recess because you have an overhead cam and he plugs are further down than a standard push rod engine. As for you jerking, It's possible that your problem could be from this plug wire. When at what speed, and when does your car jerk. It could be an ignition thing, such as plugs, plug wires, distributer cap or rotor. Check your air intake line for cracks. This is the rubber tube that runs from the air filter to the throttle body. Hope this helps Burt

I had this same type of problem with my 929. It took a new factory Mazda cap and rotor to fix it.
