welll....
I took care of the trunk light but this am when i went to start my car the bat was dead as a doornail, AGAIN. This is the sort of thing that just may make me buy a golf cart to cruise around in.......
below are the previous postings (from other boards)regarding this problem.
my 94 mazda 929 is making me crazy.
car runs like it should till you park it for the night...
in the am when i go to start it, the battery is dead. sometimes earlier. i have no aftermarket stereo or anything like that installed on it. I checked the alternator but it reads fine for output. this happens even with a fresh battery (tried that too). I have a suspicion that i could have some major parasitic drain going on but can't get my hands on an amp meter (don't ask)... is there any other thing that could be going on that I have not thought to check? and if any of you guys or gals have a mazda like mine, let me know-
nevermind- I got my husband to lock me in my trunk and the silly trunk light was staying on- it turned off when he closed it (like it should) but then came right back on after the trunk was totally closed. from what I have been able to find out by researching this, it is a common problem with 929s.... durrr.
