2003 mazda 3 winter driving woes

my 2003 standard shift mazda 3 slides all over the place in snowy condtions. very scary. any suggestions?

The first thing is to get decent winter tires for the driving wheels. Try tirerack.com. they usually have a good selection available. You may even be able to buy them mounted on steel rims if you have alloy wheel, so you can put your regular tires away for summer driving.

I own a 2004 Mazda3 and this was the first year they produced this car. Do you have one-of-a-kind ??
