Please tell me how to turn off the Check Engine Light on Mazda 626 & also on Miata.
The cars run fine. My brother does the car maintenance for me, the only thing he doesn't know how to do is to turn the Engine light off. The light came on when the odometer reached around 85,000 miles. Please help!

The cars are 1998 626, and 1999 Miata. Both have the same problem. I look for ways to turn off the check engine light. Is there a trick for these 2 types of car?

disconect battery cabele for a min this resets computer, the 626 needs new ingntion wires also if have not replaced done already....
