Help,
My wife's 1999 626 LX 2.0 cyl. has a problem with the perimeter alarm going off on its own. When the car is locked using to key or the keyless method the alarm will go off anywhere from 10 minutes to 4-6 hours later. No pattern to it that I can determine.
The car alarm can be reset using the keyless method or the key in the door. The car operates normally after resetting.
I am guessing that there is a module of some kind. Where is it located? What is it called? Can I change it myself? Can I get a used module from a salvage yard? Car has 180,000 miles.
