Ok. About a week ago, my 93 mx6 AT 2.0 started to get a whine that seems to be getting worse. In park, neutral, drive, and reverse; its there. I rev up my engine or put it in gear and its there. I opened up the hood and the sound seems to be coming from the transmission. It gets more high pitched the higher the rpms. If I turn my car off and on, the problem will go away but slowly re-develop over a minute or two. It seems to be fumbling when the car changes gears too. Thanks for everybody's time.

Shakespeare might advise to get thee to a nunnery, but my advice is to check the transmission fluid level as per the owner's manual. If this isn't the problem, get the car to a reputable mechanic post haste.
