Ok well 3 days ago I had my car working fine and everything and i decided to see how much torque it can do and so I was at 5,000 rmp in 2nd gear then I took it off GAS and floored it again and kept doin that 3 times and than it just turned off.. Now I can't even reach 5,000 RPM it just starts shaking at 4,000 and it just keeps the rpm there and it makes some metal noise under my engine like the exshaust connector from the engine is loose.. I have checked that and it is pretty tight on there does anyone have any ideas.. I have changed my clutch 2 months ago so I know it can't be clutch. Also the RPM's fall down on hill's like I was going up a hill in 2nd at about 25mph and it just kept falling down. When I go on freeway the car won't go past 4,000rpm in 4th gear.

When the car is in N if I turn it on and floor the gas all the way while in nuteral it stops at 5,000rmp and won't go beyond. Also it shakes really bad while goin from 1,000 rpm to 5,000 and I mean it has hard time getting up there.


Anyone have any ideas.. I have taken it to a mechanic and he can't figure it out. The car has only 127,000Miles on it and also it uses so much gas and I mean 160miles in 13 galons... Worst than my friends camaro.

There are several possibilities. I suggest you take the car to a different mechanic -- preferably one who specializes in Mazdas.

I have drove it today and its getting worst... A little steep hill and it won't accelerate up it in 2nd gear. The car also turns off if I hold the rmp at 4,000 and if I put the clutch on it just drops down and turns off.

Anyone know what can be wrong with it?

Well now when the car is cold and if I gas it all the way in nuteral it just shakes the exhaust pipe and it like takes little while before it goes up.

Something is wrong with my air fileter it makes noise and it cant get any air when i step on the gas
