Hi all, this is my first post on this board. I currently own a 2002 p5 with roof rack that was not attached but was given to me with purchase of vehicle. Presently I wish to install it on the vehicle but lack the mounting instructions for break down or layout for how its installed. Any help from out there is greatly appreciated thanks in advance.

Are the threaded mounting holes visible in the top of the roof, and were the mounting screws supplied with the rack? If so, you should be able to figure it out without driving yourself batty in the process. Tighten the rails securely, but don't overtighten them or you'll strip the holes an give yourself a lot of grief. By the way, the crossbars should be installed so the ribs face toward the front of the car. The easy path for you to take is to shmooze a Mazda dealer for instructions. The 2002 is supposed to come with the rack factory installed in the U.S., so you must live in "Eh?" land. Eh?
