In Aug 2002 our van was 1 year and 10 months when the alternator when. We found out in June 2005 that Performance Madza in Orleans Ontario had put a refursed alternator in a new vechicle knowing that this part we fail with in years. On June 2005 the bearing in the alternator seized and failed. The second alternator has failed on July 18th 2005. In November 2004 the pcm module was under recall and progaming we believe was done. We feel the first and second alternator has failed due to this computer module. If you have had the same problems please email me as we would like to see if any other Mazda owners are having problems with their alternator.
