I have an 88 mazda 626 lx. 2.2 non turbo FI. It's been sitting for about 4-5 years. I'm considering fixing or just selling it for parts. When it died it seemed to be running fine and it just quit. I got it running by pumping the pedal vigorously for about 5 minutes and it got me back to my house about 2 miles. But as I was going the rpms were jumping erratically about 1,000 rpms. I consider myself a fairly good mechanic and I have checked about everything that I know to check. If anyone knows what this problem could be please help. Also I may just sell it for parts. I have a guy who has a 1994 626, and he's wondering if the transmission will interchange. If anyone has any insite it would be greatly appreciated thanks.
