MPV 1996 Break Light When Stopping ?

I just noticed that my break indicator light comes on when I depress the breaks. I don't think Mazda has sensors in the break system. Is this an idication that I need a new break pads or some major work done?

Low brake fluid level is one of the things that can cause this. If the fluid level is OK, you need a brake job.
