I have to replace the alternator for a 96 MPV. The alternator is loose, but I'm unable to pull the lower long bolt out since the pulley from the power steering pump is in the way. I don't see an adjustment for the PS pump. Do I have to drop the pump totally?

Or is there some other way to pull the alternator?
