Does anyone know if you can replace the tin sunroof panel of a 1992 929 with a glass panel (not solar)?

I hade a 92 Protege with a metal sunroof panel, which started rusting after two years and had to be replaced (Compare that to the steel sunroof panel on my 83 Mercedes 300 SD which still has the original paint and is still rust free). All Mercedes and BMW cars now use glass panels, and the steel panels can many times be replaced with glass panels.
