Actually just shorter springs will do. But I'd really consider canging the struts if they seem at all a bit soft. Changing the struts and springs will make the car feel better and handle better.
If you've got the electrically adjustables i'm not sure if there is a problem just putting in shorter springs..

Unless you have really good struts in there now (KYB, Tokico, etc.), they are not going to hold up under the additional stress of lowering the car. I put KYBs on my wife's car (an 87 626), and they are really nice struts. Cheap too. www.tirerack.com
