I'm looking into customizing a Mazda B series Pickup and I would Like to install a RCE as the powerplant for the truck. I'm curios as to wether anyone out there has done this or has any suggestions/resources/links to resources that I could use. Feel free to post here or e-mail me.

Thanks

Hey there,

I've been considering the same route but the engines are rather expensive up here. There's a couple of guys on my site that did it and they really go!
Look in the readers rides section at www3.sympatico.ca/madcat-x1 and you'll find their email.

From the info i have collected so far, your best bet if you're gonna do this, is find a wrecked RX-7 second or third generation, and rob the parts you need from it. One guy told me that the third members in the rx-7 diff will swap into the 2wd truck housing. I haven't actually checked that out myself though. Good luck!

The largest source of info I know of right now is the Mazda interchange guide on SoloMiata. Just go into yahoo, type "Mazda interchange guide" and select the first entry. It won't tell you where or how specifically with rotories and pickups but it will give you a few interesting facts and a buttload of ideas.

I dont know why you would want to swap over the tranny and diff really, unless you want the extra work.
To the best of my knowledge, the b2200 transmission bolts up to a 12a or even a 13b. Ill be doin the swap next month after I breakin my 13B engine.
I estimate at least 200rwhp with an N/A engine :D
