Hi all! Here is what I type in the Norwich message board yesterday while I worked at overnight! I typed it in 6am when a human was very sleepy. It would be emotional and perhaps give you a bit more about myself! Hope it wasn't too bored..

I support the Norwich when I was 15 years old (12 years ago) when I study in form 3. You were right Norwich had many good players in the past and perhaps I started to spend more time to the team again was after I graduated in 1999, I backed to Hong Kong from Winnipeg Canada and found a job, earned money to my parents and myself. I remember I request a catalogue from the clubshop in February (98/99 season) since I desire to buy the Home shirt, it was PONY one and you should know who's model the Home shirt! (Away shirt was Darren Eadie) I didn't remember his name at that time, I also had a sticker of him in 92/93 season! (I had lost all other players sticker liked Sutton, Goss, Gunn and Bowen, but him and the laser Norwich badge!)
My previous favorite Canary as you know is Rob Newman (I had his autograph picture when he was on the ribero home shirt also a poster from Match magazine which I request, it had my name on!) but he left Norwich, I was a bit sad since he was always a 110% commitment player, I tried to look at the current squad and see their profile, there was someone with the club for a long time, even earlier when I start to support the club. I remember who he was now! It''s him! I didn't like to lose Newman as my favorite player and I think this guy will stay long as the Norwich player, the club's first choice right-back at that time!
I must say his loyalty to this football club (I understand it past now!) definitely impressed me a lot to stick a club not in the Premier League but in the lower division. In Hong Kong, which were full of glory hunters, there are about 5 or 6 years they didn't mention lower divisions, also their local soccer magazine too! Many of the ex-Premiership teams liked the Swindon fans, Sheffield Wednesday fans, Barnsley fans and QPR fans live in Hong Kong already "transfer" to other clubs or give up their interest, since they are not in the Premiership and noone will report them in Chinese.
I liked his versatiliy too. He just can play any position of the field: he played against Huddersfield Town in goal after Norwich goalkeeper Andy Marshall sent off 5 seasons ago and nearly keep a clean sheet; he usually played for Norwich and Southend in right-back; he played left-back and claim the MOTM award at the Centenary season for the Canaries when they take on Preston at home; he played central half when playing for Norwich reserves and Southend first team; kick start his career in both flanks at Norwich in early 90's and always challenge Ruel Fox's position; played for Southend in central midfield and scored 2 goals for them include 1 of them against Norwich at Carrow Road; of course to rap up his versatility, he replaced in the Bayern Munich away victory with forward Mark Robins inside the first 15 minutes! Show some lovely touch and close control to beat former German captain Lothar Matthiaus, but his near post shot was saved by the goalkeeper!!! I said, it was a World Record!
I would never forget in my life -- he was the first player welcome me to Norwich City football club, also that 23 seconds hand shake still with a tape on my video collection!!!

My support to Sutchy is because of the footballing reasons: his loyalty to one club (now passed) and his versatility, plus his superb temperment on the field too. Mine is different from the male and female supporters throughout Asia (especially Hong Kong and China's female fans) to Michael Owen and David Beckham -- because of their handsome face and their success in their career, glory hunter.
But hope you can understand why they were super "CRAZY" when their idol came to their country to see them. The fans may only see them once a year (this is same as me) when their team or favorite player visit to their country, even they had chance to travel to England and I don't know the club will allow them to meet their idol, it's different from you guys, you can see them every week and know what the poor things or poor discipline they have!
So when last few weeks I saw the Hong Kong people had to jump to the field and training ground to ask for their favorite player (Real Madrid) to get autographs, or paid HK $5000 (£416) to buy a ticket to see their hero, it's just see, they can't hand shake, take photos, get autograph....
I smile and said to myself: you are a very lucky man David!
