This is the only unrestricted Boston United Forum on the Net.
Most people know what is and what is not acceptable.
I have been asked to point out that this board is unofficial and bugger all to do with the official party line spewed out from the club, unlike the patter!!
"WE SHALL PASS THROUGH THIS WORLD BUT ONCE,
ANY GOOD THING THEREFORE THAT WE CAN DO,
OR ANY KINDNESS WE CAN SHOW TO OUR FELLOW CREATURES, LET US DO IT NOW,
DO NOT DEFER OR NEGLECT IT FOR WE SHALL NEVER PASS THIS WAY AGAIN"
Any problems contact admin at unrestrictedforum@yahoo.co.uk
What the hell has Skeggy Pilgrim done??????????? Apart from increase the hits on this site by at least 200
Take it from me he does not speak for me and as a Boston fan I was pleased to see today that York managed to get the noon deadline. I have no problem with York City at all.
It would be a great shame not only to lose the three points but on a serious note I hope you can pull it around like Lincoln did because the Local games are the best and I had A fantastic day at yours and your fans deserve to stay up and in business. GOOD LUCK MINSTER MEN. (I would have posted on your site but I cant be arsed with registering and all that) I once registered on our official forum but was soon after banned for raising a question about the legality of Contracts. WHHOOPS
Certain fans of York City have been posting a comment from "Skeggy" on other teams message boards in the hope of creating bad feeling towards all Boston fans. Gents this is out of order.
For the record I totally disagree with his comments.
If you are going to shoot your mouth off on a public forum then you should have nothing to hide.
It doesn't matter one jot if York fans have posted this message on other forums - if Skeggy wants to provoke people then it SHOULD come back to bite him on the arse.
If you're saying this because you're embarrassed at one of your fellow 'fans' then GOOD. However, according to fans in the Conference I have spoken to, they claim Boston fans were voted the most unpopular in the Conference last season by quite some way. Looks like you're going to retain your mantle.
However, in the League you make more enemies, and they have longer memories.
Now I know how assylum seekers feel when they read the sun newspaper!!
If you knew your history you would realise that if we get relegated we would also cease to trade.
We have a chairman who openly says he has very little interest in football, his aim is to move us to an out of town site and develop our current site.
Prior to "goings on" last season we had for years been run by the same family who really cared about BUFC.
My posting was intended for fellow bostonians, I didn't realise that the "right wing bone heads" would vent their anger at me.
With hindsight I should have realised that fans of other clubs read various boards.
So to make it simple for you, if it was a case of my club going down the pan or your club going down the pan, I would go for the latter.
You all seem to be having a love in, how would you answer the question, why am I not suprised that leeds supporters have got involved with the abuse and insults. Maybe its a Yorkshire thing I see that the Australian cricketer who plays for Yorkshire has been bought to book for racist abuse during a match????
Having been living and working in kent when Maidstone went down the pan I realise the implications of a club going under. However if the choice is between my club or yours going under I will always go for yours, wouldnt you.
Incidently when we played away at York this season I had the best day out since we got promoted, I was drinking in the bootham crescent tavern(sp). It seems that the abusive and domineering york fans have found nest for themselves on the net.
Bullshit. Your club's survival prospects are in no way related to York's. You did not go bust before you came up, you will not go bust when you go down. Even if you did, I do not believe it is simply because you will return to non-league. If you have a bent chairman, welcome to the real world. I would not want your club to go bust - I am sure you do not speak for the majority of Boston fans. I would love it tho' - love it - if you got relegation. I would love it more if it was by less than four points. At least that way the FL can been seen to have punished you in some small way.
UKRAINIANPHIL I AGREE WITH YOU IF THAT BAFOON MAKES HIMSELF KNOWN TO ALL TRUE YORK FANS I DONT THINK IT WOULD BE WORTH MAKING THE TRIP TO BOOTHAM CRESENT AGAIN EXPECTING TO GO HOME IN ONE PIECE
Quote skeggy:

So was I. I just wish you'd come out with these, and other(I've read this board fully) comments in there.
Quote skeggy:
It seems that the abusive and domineering york fans have found nest for themselves on the net.
And you haven't been abusive? I bet you were one of the so-called football fans chanting 'You're going bust'.
now we seem to have a stay of execution, I hope we get through this season, and stay in the 3rd, and I hope you stay up, no really.
I'll be in the Bootham Tavern next year.
Come and have a chat.
i hope youre right, but it's not posturing, believe me. York City really are that close to disappearing, and just because of that greedy bastard Craig.
If he refuses to sell the ground to either of the two remianing bidders, we're fucked.
We'll come back as a new club like AFC Wimbledon, but the old club will be gone.
Thanks to the genuine fans of all clubs for their support.
But the cretins can fuck off, whether they want York City or any other club to die, or whether theyre the wankers that thinks its smart to go on websites and threaten violence against other clubs because of what one or two gobshites have said.
If your gonna kick anyone's head in, make sure its someone who really deserves it...
To true, threats of violence have no place in todays game, it is totally unacceptable, I have every sympathy for york city, but some of the posting on this board are well over the top. Whatever happens in life, to resort to violence and the threats of violence
is WRONG.
or the majority of true boston fans, he has probably just jumped on the bandwagon since we got promoted. We more than most know about crooks involved with the club you love, because of that we very nearly didn't get promotion. Our entry into the league has been blighted by such crooks, I sometimes wonder if we would have been better off not been allowed promotion, and then hopefully won it without the sleaze that is now associated with what is a very friendly provincial club who have lived the dream.
To all york city fans I really do hope you survive. Every club has its share of idiots unfortunately ours has got a PC.
We aren't like Boston scum, we are hoping for YCFC to live
by Swans White
I wouldn't want my club to go down, but I'll never be a fucking idiot like the Boston fans, by wishing York fold as they don't have a hope in hell of staying up for one year.
We support York and hope they survive. You'd better hope we never come across you fucking lot on the road. Your Old Bill will shit themselves if we decide to pay you a visit.
we played up there a couple of weeks back, at half time we were treated to some york fans on the pitch with a white noise mike being so bleatingly boring. all clubs have troubles not just yours, saying that i dropped a couple of quid in a bucket.
i am not really having a pop, but every board you go on all you read about is how hard done by york are, how tight the chairman is etc etc, that scenario is repeated at most clubs in this league.
You're right - but this time the situation is REAL. Loads of clubs have publicity about their financial problems, but this time (and for the first time) a club is going to actually GO OUT OF BUSINESS.
York are suffering now from the 'Cry Wolf' syndrome whereby no-one believes any club really will resign the league.
Scunthorpe's turn will come, as will Boston's. And I will drop a couple of quid in your bucket Scunthorpe and even yours Boston even though you've shown nothing but contempt for us.
It's been brought about because Douglas Craig bought the club for about £150,000 a dozen years ago.
In 1999 he set up a new company called Bootham Crescent Holdings, which "bought" Bootham Crescent for £166,000 of the club's OWN MONEY.
He sold the club last year to John Batchelor for £1.
Now he wants to sell the ground to Persimmon for £4.5 million, and evict York City.
YCFC's debt by the end of the season will be only £1 million, which is a great deal less than most clubs, and would easily have been secured using the ground as security if it hadn't been stolen from us.
We'd certainly have had a tough couple of years trying to claw back the lost money, but at least we would have survived, and would still have owned our own home.
League rules were flouted to bring this situation about yet the League just sat on their hands and let it happen.
Any club could be next, even yours...
And, purely coincidentally, Douglas Craig was the man who chaired the committee that gave the go-ahead for the owners of Wimbledon to destroy that club by moving it to Milton Keynes.
It just goes to prove that rich bastards stick together, so the ordinary fans have to stick together as well.
I've given my support to many clubs in trouble including Hull (twice) and will do so again, even if those clubs are Scunthorpe and Boston.
I'm not going to let a few small-minded dickheads drive a wedge between me and those other fans, because if they do, it only makes it easier for the rich bastards to do us all over again and again...
When Barnet were going out of business they went to York to play a league match. They took buckets to raise a bit of cash, and had people in the home (York) end. There were over 3,000 york fans, and a total of £6 was raised.
When we faced our cva a couple of years back, York fans were on the surfing seadog hoping we would go bust! I don't think you should blame all a teams supporters because of the actions of a few, or in this case one??
Boston did cheat their way out of the confereence last season, and their fans were considered to be the most obnoxious arrogant twats going, or was that their manager!!!!!!!!!or both???
I've NEVER been approached by Barnet fans asking for cash for their club, or even been aware of their presence, so it would have been a little difficult for me to give, wouldn't it?
DA LAST MESSAGE WAS POSTED BY A QUEENS PARK RANGERS FAN. JAMMY DID NOT POST IT DATS ME. ALSO THE MESSAGE AT THE BOTTOM BOUT SHITTY CLUBS WAS POSTED BY HIM. SOZ BOUT DAT I DISAGREE BOUT UR ACCUSATIONS TOWARDS YORK BOUT THEM GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SO U CAN STAY UP THOUGH.

I can't apologise on someone else's behalf, but I can say as a genuine Boston United supporter I'm sorry to hear about the situation at York. I'd rather see us go down, than stay up because York have gone bust. Obviously I'd rather neither happened, but good luck to York.
Skeggy you should be ashamed of yourself. No one wants to see football league clubs going out of business - once one goes don't you think more will follow??
Having worked hard this season to try and repair some of the damage caused at the end of last season, you have managed, in one stupid statement, to undermine all of it. And, by the sounds of some of the messages on here, thanks to your comment we could well be one of the most hated clubs in the football league.
Congratulations.
York, as I posted on your website - hope things work out for the best. Good Luck.
Swansea play York city, because of a financial mess and corrupt officials this could seriously be yorks last ever game in the league.
If they win, afterall they will want to put on a good show for the fans being the last game. Swansea having lost again will be adrift at the bottom of the league, and only one club will be relegated this season!!!!
Thinking of number one, I hope the above scenario happens, sounds callus but think about it York has had a league club for decades, now its someone elses turn.
By claiming it's 'someone else's turn' it shows you have no idea about the prestigous history of the league you now temporarily play in.
If City do go bust it will benefit NO-ONE least of all clubs in the 3rd division.
It will be YOU in the near future Boston United, and you won't be carping then. These comments are an insult to all true fans of football, and go beyond the simple rivalry that we all enjoy. Even fans from Hull, our local rivals, put their hands in their pockets to help save York - makes Boston look a bit small-minded and provinvial doesn't it?
Dead right Phil, it wasn't long since Boston was in the shit through your own doing (fraud etc) so dont start all that holyer than thou crap.
Glad we dont have an idiot like Thompson in charge anymore - he started the ball rolling with his awful signings on 4 or 5 year contracts. Nice One.
I can't believe this.
If thats the attitude of Boston fans, you're not going to be welcome at any league ground for the remainder of this season, before heading back to the Conference.
I can't see you being too popular there either, after cheating your way out of it.
You're a disgrace to football fans. I talk to fans of many clubs, and all are supportive of our plight, including Hull, who are our supposed rivals.
If we're killed, I'll be looking forward to rising through the leagues, until I can watch City at your pit of a ground. That'll be fun for you.
Does this stupid idiot realise what he is on about, because when his club has a struggle which wont be long on the gates they are getting, no one will help. Many thanks go to YCFC on what they did last year for us. I for one( and the same goes for any decent fooball supporter, not mindless boys who know fuck all about the league history having just joined,) hope that we will still be playing each other for many years to come. I know what you are going through
I would just like on behalf of all true Pilgrim fans to say what a complete and utter tosser this prick must be.Noone else down here seems to agree with his words as the words on our patter re. YCFC will no doubt testify. As you all know every town/city has the local twat (you know the one who every one kicked shit out of at school), its just a pity ours has got a computer.
Sincere best wishes for the rest of the season from all proper Boston United supportes and do us a favour on Saturday
I Cant beleive this bumbling idiot, that is one of the reasons i moved to Scotland to get away from half baked idiots like him. As everyone has said nobody likes to see a team go to the wall it has happened up here as well with Clydebank and Airdrieonians going out of buisness, and no matter how much u don`t like them it is not good to see. Football is in a bad way at the moment and all genuine football fans should stand up and be counted and support each other in times like these. My thoughts are with York and hope that all turns out ok.
Jesus Christ, you must be thicker than the average boston fan (which is an achievement).
Over Xmas you lot played York and got one of your biggest attendances of the year, so theyve helped you lot out already.
Aside from the fact York is also a good day out, they are an established league side who are where they are on merit (ie. havnt cheated to get into the league). Every league side should be concerned about their problems.
I suppose we shouldn't be surprised by your stupid comments. But that has surpassed the looney aspect expected from Boscum idiots. If York do fold it'll be a sad day for league football. The York fans deserve to have a football league club.Where as Boscum don't deserve to be in the league after the events of last season.
GOOD LUCK YORK.
You're a fucking disgraceful disaster who should never have been born. Do all decent fans a favour and go and fucking jump off a bridge........you wanker
... it is callous and you should be ashamed of yourself. Your club gained promotion to the league through illegal methods and now you hope to keep your league status by way of others' misfortune. If your opinion is common to most other Boston fans, which I hope it's not, then I hope you get the fate you deserve.
You shouldn't even be in the third, you bunch of cheating twats. At least D&R have shown they are not only more than qualified on the pitch to join the League, they can do so without resorting to 'financial irregularities'. You only have the lily-livered League to thank for your presence here at all.
I've never said it of a team before (OK, except Chesterfield), but I sincerely hope you get relegated.
Cunts.
And another thing. York City have drubbed teams with their reserve squad that Boston can only dream of playing, you jumped-up no-marks. They have a true glorious history with real fans, not just knobs like you who wouldn't recognise tradition if it jumped up and fucked them full in the face.
dont you dare start likening chesterfield to this lot....we'd never post summat like that about any of our rivals, even mansfield dont deserve to be made bankrupt
btw, we're busy sorting are house out at the moment if you havent noticed
how remarkably clever of you to cling on to that particular scenario, you self-centred prat. Take the points off you won against them (which, should they fold and cannot meet their fixture obligations, will happen) and see where it leaves you. You haven't climbed that far out of the shite you know.
This is the time when the Div 3 teams need to show a bit of solidarity. But then you're not really a proper league side are you?
Breathtaking in its stupidity and mindblowing in its childish self-centredness, this post illustrates the miserable selfishness that has ripped the heart out of our great game in the last decade or so.
If you truly believe that Boston will be exempt from the appalling and criminal mismanagement that we have experienced at York, you are indeed a no-brained yokel. Look around you - the lower leagues are in crisis. If this wasn't a time to stick together, I don't know what is.
Over the past couple of months, we have been overwhelmed by support from fans of all denominations and offers of help and financial support - even from our supposed hated rivals. And not once have I read such a filthy opinion such as yours.
Apologies to all intelligent Boston fans (well there must be SOME, right?) but on the basis of this post I hope you go straight back to where you came from - taking Thommo, the worst manager York EVER had with you.
And you, my friend, can go and rot in hell.
Thanx to all other 3rd div fans for your posts to this moron.
As a Cambridge supporter I find your attitude beneath contempt. What makes it more ludicrous is that by your own standards you shouldn't even be in the league.
Go back from whence you came, the third is a friendly place and we can do without arseholes like you.
Is that the word your mummy won't let you use at school then? You are a discreit to your club, your town and the human race.
York has a PROUD tradition unlike Boston. As for our financial problems, when the powers that be allow teams to get away with cheating, which Boston CERTAINLY DID, is it any wonder that crooked, cheating Chairmen like ours are allowed to rape clubs' assets for personal profit?
Anyone who wants to see another club die has NO RIGHT to use the proud and honourable name "Football Fan"
You are SCUM end of story...
Thanks to the Barrel Boys - TRUE FOOTBALL FANS INDEED.
Sincerely hope that York survive, you have indeed been hung drawn and quarted by money grabbing leeches.
Good club with solid support and a good atmosphere, wish you well tomorrow
You bloody idiot, if York city goes down the pan several clubs in the lower reaches will follow, 3rd Divsion clubs need to stick together more than ever, with comments like yours it is easy to see how should we survive expect no support from York fans if ever you find yourself in our predicement
IF YOU CANT LOOK AFTER YOUR CLUB THEN YOU DESERVE TO GO DOWN, YOU HAVE BEEN IN THE LEAGUE FOR 80 YEARS, NOW IS THE TIME FOR SOME FRESH BLOOD. WHY SHOULD UP AND COMING TEAMS BE HELD BACK BECAUSE OF TRADITION, SINCE MAY 1997 TRADITION AND THE OLD BOYS NETWORK HAS BEEN CONSIGNED TO HISTORY
So you think teams should go up or down, based on how long they've had in the League? Not how good their football is? Or perhaps how fairly they've won promotion through the proper channels (something Boston has so far failed to do)?
If you feel you need York to go bust in order to survive in the League, surely that should tell you that you don't really deserve to be here.
But then winning or losing fair and square is not in the Boston psyche is it?
Wow, are you lot all like this? I love your assertion (that's a-sser-tion, look it up) that we didn't 'look after our club' so we deserve whatever's coming. As if we had ownership of our club.
How much do you understand about York's current plight? I imagine very little. Would you blame Fulham's fans, for example, if turns out that Al-Fayed has sold them down the river vis a vis (that's in a different language by the way, but don't let it worry you too much) the Cottage situation?
Boston are becoming the pariahs (sorry, I really must stop, you must be incredibly confused) of Div 3. Here's wishing you a swift return to non-league from all your dear friends at YCFC.
OG you shouldn't, no really... at this rate you'll get this dead board of morons a reputation for containing witty repartee (oh bugger there I go now...BOSCUM that's a foreign word too), albeit from real fans...
So you think the current system, where by clubs are relgated and promoted only on terms of footballing ability is un-fair, oh of course you do, how silly of me to forget, your team cheeted its way in here.
Before coming on to this board today, I felt sorry for your little town team, being stuck with thommo and all, but now I see Bostons perfect for him, all the thick twats together.
that York fans have had no say in what has happened to their club. They have been royally shafted by unscrupulous crooks, and I think the majority of lower division fans can empathise with their plight (I know Seadogs can, as we have had plenty of chancers trying to screw our club out of business in recent years). I hope this never happens to your club, but the likelihood is that if York go bust, a great many other teams will follow them.
Being a Seadog York City are our geographical rivals and we have had a few tasty encounters with them, but the last thing we want is for them to go bust. I imagine that your most memorable games this season have been against your rivals Lincoln, you wouldnt want them to go bust would you?
Any true football fan would not wish to see any club fold.
After your narrow escape last season, Boston fans should realise that the actions of a few can ruin a club.
Having read some of the other postings on this board it is evident that you yourselves are not out of the woods yet.
If we do go out of business then we will have plenty of free afternoons to travel and give our support to any team you are playing, to make sure you are dragged down with us.
On the other hand, with Neil Thompson - who destroyed the playing side of our team with over the hill donkeys each on a grand a week, a bit like he is doing to Boston - I am sure you will go down without any external assistance.
Can't think of what to say to this really. Cunt's been used. Seems to sum it up. Cheating cunt! Even better. I do hope that you go down in flames! Swansea fans are on our board wishing us well despite the relegation place thing and they're welsh. But at least they're not cunts!
The icing on DOLXXS CAREER
bearing in mind the population of york it seems that you are unable to sustain a league side, if you could you wouldnt be in the sh1t would you
Our current situation actually has little or no bearing on our fanbase - witness the likes of Macclesfield existing perfectly well on similar crowds. It is specifically the result of the theft of our ground and the deliberate escalation of players' wages by Douglas Craig, the latter in order to kill the club, thus allowing him to cash in on the ground by selling it to Persimmon Homes.
If you think that York doesn't deserve a club because of the malevolent actions of one man, you must be even more heartless and more stupid than your post suggests you are. And if, as I suspect, the HT stands for Huddersfield Town, you are also very short-sighted. Your team is in freefall and a vulnerable team is always a perfect target for football 'investors' looking to make a buck at the expense of a club. You would do well to look over your shoulder and show a little more compassion to those around you as well.
As someone else on this thread said, if you aren't willing to support other clubs in trouble, you don't deserve to be called a football fan. Simple as that really.
I now see it wasn't a 'T' but a 'C' in your name. Hull City. Of course. You've never been in any kind of trouble. Moron.
Thankfully, I know not all Hull fans are so twattish. Many of your compatriots showed us support vocally and financially during our recent bucket collection at the Xmas fixture. They are the ones I would count as fans.
Feeling a little alone now perhaps? After all, the only person who has shown any support for your stance is from that other little in-bred town of Hull. I for one will never forget your comments and will be very happy to see you eat them some day.
Now, I know not everybody in poor little boston has the computer, or the brains to use that, so I'll give you a clue. That link will take you to minstermen.net's message board where you will find good luck messages from teams all over the country, including AFC Wimbledon, Carslie, Scunthorpe, Hartlepool, Huddersfield, Blackpool, Bristol, Gillingham, Yeovil, even our biggest foe's Scarborough and Hull. Do I really have to go on?
Now I think the best thing for you to do is to stop buggering about and hurry up and get relageted and take your primitive views with you down to the sunday league you climbed out of.
As a former non-league fan, this post is just bewildering. How any true supporter can want a fellow club to go out of business is beyond me.
This is not relegation to non-league we are talking about, this is extinction! If this comes to pass there will be no York City. York have the support of Cheltenham Town on this one.
(Any true Boston fans, this guy should be immediately dis-owned)
skeggy tarnishes the name of us all.
Most pilgrims do not take his view, saying that I suppose we are all entitled to an opinion even if it is crap, the perks of a democracy. But again I don't agree with skeggy, he's obviously off his rocker, or maybe an imp stirring the shit for us?
To have your club in the league 5 minutes, and then making coments like that about clubs with a long rich history. Clubs like York have battled for long periods of hard times through the decades. There constant battle is survival and good luck to them.
99% of true football fans would rather go to York than that little village of Boston (wherever it is ??).
You hardly look to see when your team is playing Boston. (Oh yes - lets look forward to a great day out.)
The sooner the little flash in the pan clubs like Boston with there 2 minutes of Glory disapear, (or more importantly show a bot of respect and support to other more important established clubs, the bettr they will be thought of..
Enjoy your flirtation with the football league as thats all it will be . (2 or 3 seasons at the most if your lucky. (Remember Barnet, Maidstone, Scarborough and the likes - Macclesfield average gate 1,810 - soon to follow.)
But while your here RESPECT YOUR ELDERS, your club may then be better thought of. Nobody likes the Gobby arrogant New Boy in Class, and thats what Boston have become.
Keep your Gob shut, if you've nothing sensible to say, all lower league clubs need to support each other.
are almost as ignorant and arrogant as the original poster of this drivel. For yor information, Scarborough F.C. were members of the football league for 12 seasons. No club has more of a right to league football than any other. We were relegated (with a record number of points) because we lost and drew too many of our games during the season (nb: not because of some goalkeeper signed by a Cumbrian side). Those are the rules. You seem to confuse this with the fact that York have had similar problems to many other lower division clubs - bent leadership.
the author of the original message is a bit of a rum chap, n'est-il pas ?
BOSTON, of all upstarts calling others corrupt ????
I hope their first visit to the Gigg Stadium sees the home side notch the thrashing that they have been threatening to administer to someone for some little time
As a Bury fan, I saw my club go through administration last season and would not wish that on any club, especially a well respected friendly club such as York.
The fans of the two clubs have had their differences over the years, but that's another issue, and I wish York every success in staying alive. We (all club's fans) should all be togteher on an issue like survival.
For the moron from Boston, I hope you get everything that you deserve. Relegation straight back to the Conference would be a good outcome, and I hope that we can inflict a nice big defeat on your non-league cheating upstarts on Saturday.
I'm sure there must be some decent Boston fans somewhere that would protest about Mr Moron's comments?
Why not show yourselves on here?
i feel for everyone in div 3, who has to put up with your cheating team!
by daggersfan
shut up you bunch of fucking idiots, your nothing but twats and as the gessa said on MoTD, " great win for dagneham, who themselves should be playing league football this year"
I for one and everyone else on the Pilgrims Patter (Bostons Forum) are pleased and releived that your financial situation has been sorted, What is a disgrace is that you were allowed to get into that situation in the first place!
I also beleive that the guy 'Skeggy Pilgrim' aka twat! Is not the same one who posts on the Boston Forum, I wouldn't also be suprised if it was one of those bitter idiot mockney's from dagenham trying to stir the events of last summer up and trying to lose us friends that us REAL Boston fans are desperately trying to make. I for one enjoyed my trip to York earlier this season and had a very friendly chat with your fans pre match in the pub.
All the very best for the future and look forward to two more entertaining games next season!
Girth you can't blame Dagenham every time you put the ball in you own net!!!
I do agree with though with you that it is truly great news that Yorks problem are over for the time being. Let's hope no other teams are facing the the same problems ,speaking personally I would not know what to do on Saturdays without football , so sympathise with anyone having to go through this.
7800 on NYD is taking the piss as your shithole was filled (as per usual with you fags!) so where's the cash gone?
I'll tell you where its gone - you've understated the gate and pocketed the cash instead of declaring the true figure of nearer 9000 so you don't have to give it to the Administator of your CVA so he can pay your creditors who you have pissed on big time.
You cheating knuckledragging slopeheaded scum!!!
After the relevations regarding false contracts, the Inland Revenue are now looking into where the money for the extra contracts came from. In business all money has to be acounted for, obviously in this case money was not declared. Sounds trivial but believe me its not as any business man will tell you.
How do you know how full our ground was - were you there? The capacity is only 9,500 and as there were less than 1,000 Scunthorpe fans in the ground (away end holds about 2,500) I think you'll find that the crowd figure was correct. The administrators are running the club, and have nothing to gain from falsifying gate figures anyway.
Thanks for the comments from Boston fans, the constant chants or "you're going bust" were really intelligent on Boxing day. So far in our plight we have come up against fans of Carlisle, Hull, Scunthorpe and several other supposed "rivals", who have been very supportive, chipped money into our Trust, and shown solidarity. In fact the ONLY club who have shown utter contempt have been YOU Boston. Hope you're proud.
UEFA today stunned the football world by handing out a severe penalty to
England
international Lee Bowyer after finding him guilty of stamping on an opponent
during a UEFA cup match. Bowyer has been banned from European competition
for
six games and made to sign for West Ham United. The combination of the six
game
ban and enforced transfer to West Ham means Bowyer has effectively been
banned
from European football for a minimum of FIFTEEN years.
Bowyer himself is said to be philosophical after finally been caught on CCTV
stamping on a grounded opponent. He does admit that he is at least partly to
blame as he should have phoned a team mate to come and pick him up and
destroyed
his boots and socks, as he normally does when he finds himself in these
situations.
Bowyer's contract entitles him to a £1m bonus payment should West Ham escape
relegation. The contract is also believed to include payments should he find
Lord Lucan (£750k), prove the existence of extra-terrestrial life (£500k) or
explain why the f... they paid several million pounds for Titi Camara
(£250k).
Meanwhile official West Ham sources would make no comment on rumours that
West
Ham are to change their away strip to a white sheet with a white hood to
make
Bowyer feel more at home.
its free and it works not just on this board but others to. network54 are a pain. but this board is needed if only to stop the patter removing stuff that certain people dont agree with. Of late they havent been so heavy handed with their censorship.
Plus the pool goal was well off side. Hartlepool 5 points clear a the top, and we are not to far behind them in terms of ability, there manager said that was the best they have played since november. next season i can really see us pushing for the playoffs if we continue to make the same progress.
the fact that the pitch was a bog meant that it was impossible to pass it about meaning that the game was not pretty to watch, however accept it, we were more clinical in front of goal and have now taken 6 points off you this season! " not too far off in terms of ability" if you went to the away game in hartlepool you would realise how wrong you are but you only took 52 to your first away game in the league so i doubt it.
I went to that game and yes the difference was obvious, but that was to be expected after our "summer of turmoil", the pleasing aspect is the progress we have made and continue to make since the start of the
season. I hope you go up as champions if only to stop ru££den from claiming the title.
There's some sad twats about. You haven't even been a league team for a season, yet you think it's your county. If you want a County why don't you take your shitty little town and get out of Gods county (Lincolnshire)
I must have been living in blissful ignorance all these years.
It is in fact Boston with a brand new university, historic architecture, industrial heritage, established football league side, and is one of the fastest growing cities in the country.
Meanwhile, its Lincoln that is a small market town, in the middle of nowhere, with a non-league side pretending to be bigger than they are, no jobs, and has that 'village of the damned' feeling every time you enter the place, and where the only pastime is getting 'close' to other members of your family.
And of course the county is Bostonshire, not Lincolnshire.
Thank you, I realise now that my misgivings about Lincoln being about 4 times the size of Boston are completely unfounded.
hope you stay up and we play you next season. isnt newyears day crap without a game, i thought of going to lincoln but couldnt be arsed.
good luck lads
Can we rely on you lot stuffing the chimp chokers on jan 4th???? The run your on is heart warming, would hate to see you only have one season in the league, the swans and carlisle are for the drop.
Try and get a ticket for the away section cos if you hand cash over it'll disappear faster than Dick's disability allowance.
Look like a slopehead and you'll easily make the home part but there will be fuck all atmosphere but you'll mingle!
Drinks in Sleaford then the 'centre spot' before K.O.
Pathetic turnout, pathetic team. When you have the away numbers that we can muster for the big matches then you can bandy words about atmosphere with us.
It was just like a reunion. One morning in May, seven retired detectives from Barnsley gathered at the Moat House Hotel on the outskirts of Doncaster. One of them joked that it was like the return of the magnificent seven.
But this was no social gathering. Among their number was Graham Bean, a man with 20 years' service under his belt with South Yorkshire Police but who, since 1998, has enforced discipline in the national game as head of the Football Association's compliance unit. Bean handed out briefing documents and gave his former colleagues their instructions before the men dispersed.
At exactly 10am on May 23, Bean, accompanied by FA financial expert Jamie McGraw, arrived unannounced at Boston United FC, the Lincolnshire club who just a few weeks earlier had completed a remarkable rise through the non-League ranks by winning promotion to the Football League.
Simultaneously, the other former CID officers knocked at the doors of a number of Boston players. It was the start of an investigation that would lead to some of the most serious charges brought by English football's governing body, a case that would lead to allegations of deception and bribery. Bean describes it as a story "to make your hairs stand on end".
Bean and his colleagues knew what they were looking for. A routine inspection of the club's accounts earlier in the year by the FA's financial advisory unit had uncovered unexplained discrepancies between the salaries declared on players' contracts and the payments they were receiving from the club.
The FA have strict rules which stipulate that all salaries must be notified to Soho Square in the interests of financial transparency, and any infringement can carry heavy penalties. "It's all about protecting the fairness and integrity of the competition," Bean said. "We don't want a situation where players are lured to clubs by cash-in-hand payments."
While the retired detectives interviewed players, Bean and McGraw went through the club's books. What they found shocked them. Far from the occasional irregular payment, it was apparent there was a systematic deception involving large amounts of cash being ferried around town to various banks and being paid over the counter into players' accounts.
Mike Marsh, the former Liverpool and West Ham player, was one of six footballers whose contract lodged with the FA bore no relation to what he was being paid. Instead of £100 a week, as the contract stated, he was actually receiving £1,000.
Another was striker Ken Charlery, who was being paid £620 a week plus bonuses yet his contract showed a basic weekly wage of £120. And there was Scottish midfielder Jim Dick, who was supposed to be paid £250 a week but was receiving £2,400 a month. Similar discrepancies were found in the contracts of three other players - Paul Wilson, Simon Weatherstone and goalkeeper Paul Bastock, the son-in-law of the club director and former chairman Pat Malkinson.
By coincidence, Malkinson was present at the club at the time of the FA raid, along with club secretary John Blackwell. The pair were asked about the irregularities but could offer no explanation, though they revealed that all player contracts were sorted out personally by the team manager, Steve Evans.
Five days later, FA officials returned to interview Evans, a 40-year-old Glaswegian. Evans dismissed the financial irregularities as sloppy administration - he claimed a zero had inadvertently been left off the Marsh contract and that Charlery was being paid extra for scouting duties - but the investigators were not persuaded.
They later learned that Evans would routinely write out a contract for a footballer, which the player signed, and he would then ask the player to sign two other blank contracts, saying he would fill them out later to save time. The suspicion was that the two blank contracts were then filled out with lower figures without the players' knowledge. These were then passed to Blackwell, an innocent party in the deception, who retained one of them and lodged the other with the FA.
The day after interviewing Evans, Bean and his colleague met Charlery. The striker confirmed that his copy of his contract was nothing like the one held by the club and the FA and that far from receiving £120 a week, his deal was for £620 a week, plus a £16,000 signing-on fee, £120 a week appearance money and a £50 bonus for every first-team goal.
Charlery also revealed that Evans had phoned him the previous day to tell him how he had come up with an explanation about "scouting payments". The player was out of contract and, in exchange for deceiving the FA by corroborating his story, Evans offered to help him with his future playing career. Evans was now in the frame for deliberately trying to impede the FA's inquiry. The plot was starting to thicken.
On June 5, Bean flew to Glasgow to meet Dick, another Boston player whose contract had recently ended. The midfielder had been a first-team regular but had been given permission to live and train in Scotland before travelling down to Lincolnshire the day before a game. Questioned about discrepancies over the player's contract, Evans claimed Dick received extra money to offset travel expenses, though the investigators established the player was separately reimbursed.
Within minutes of landing at Glasgow Airport, Bean received a call on his mobile phone. It was Dick, sounding distressed.
"He was really panicking," Bean recalls. "He was whispering and it sounded if he was calling from some sort of toilet area. He said to me: 'Look, there's someone going to be coming with me to our meeting. Whatever you do, don't let him into the meeting. I don't care what explanation you give him, but just don't let him in'. I asked him who the person was and he replied: 'I don't know, but he's a big lad. I'll explain everything later'."
When Bean arrived at the appointed meeting place, an airport hotel, Dick was accompanied by a "massive bloke" in his early thirties. Bizarrely, Dick was under instructions to introduce him as his brother. "The bloke bore no resemblance to Dick," Bean says. "Jim Dick is a skinny lad and this bloke looked like a typical heavy."
As agreed, Bean announced that the meeting with the player was strictly private and, despite the man's protests, ushered Dick into a private room. Once they were alone, Dick revealed he had had telephone conversations with Evans and Malkinson the previous day and that he had been offered £8,000. A contact of Evans had later turned up at his home with an envelope stuffed full of cash. Dick told Bean how the Boston manager had arranged for the "cash transfer" personally, driving north before handing the money over to the contact in a pub car park halfway between Lincolnshire and Scotland. Evans took the cash but was told that someone would be sent to accompany him at his meeting with Bean.
As the investigators closed in, Malkinson admitted authorising the £8,000 payment but maintained it was part of Dick's severance deal. After initially denying it, Evans also confirmed his involvement in the payment but dropped another bombshell by making some highly personal remarks about Dick. The tactic was to backfire. When Dick was told what Evans had said about him, he was so incensed that he immediately agreed to give evidence at a hearing against his former boss.
In July, at an FA disciplinary hearing chaired by Kent FA representative Barry Bright, Boston pleaded guilty to six charges relating to contract irregularities. They were fined £100,000 and started the season with a four points deduction.
Charges were also brought against Evans and Malkinson and last week the two men were notified of the hearing's findings. Malkinson was found guilty of one charge of breaching FA rules over the lodging of player contracts and another of trying to impede the FA inquiry by authorising a payment of £8,0000 to Dick. Evans, who pleaded guilty to four charges of contract irregularities, was also found guilty of trying to pay Dick to mislead the inquiry and of trying to influence Charlery to do likewise. Two less serious charges relating to contract irregularities were dismissed.
Both men will discover their punishments on Jan 29 and could face hefty fines and lengthy bans from the game. Evans, who has indicated he will appeal, is already paying a high price. He was suspended by his club pending the investigation and in September he resigned. His dream of managing a Football League club was not fulfilled.
"The sad thing about this whole story," Bean said, "is that at the greatest moment in Boston's history, one man did so much to damage the club's reputation. In everything that went wrong at the club, Steve Evans was the common denominator."
THAT ARTICLE IS ONE SIDED RUBBISH, IF IT WAS TRUE WE MAYBE WOULDNT HAVE GOT IN THE LEAGUE AND STEVE WOULDNT BE APPEALING, YOU LONDON FUKCWITS SHOULD GET A LIFE FORGET THE PAST, YOUR FUTURE IS IN THE CONF COZ YOU AINT GOING UP THIS YEAR.
Nice one Geoff, glad to see you still get time to write in between buggering sessions in North Sea camp. Not as good as First among equals which I have to say was shite, but after all I am one of your fiercest critics
I think its a case of getting in and out of lincoln as quickly as possible, its a shame because one of the joys of away matches is having some good natured banter with the home fans, yesterday in bristol we all mixed well and had a laugh.
We played really well and with a bit of luck could have held out for all three points. Bazza motm. Not sure the attendance but it was a good atmosphere. Cov Pilgrim give me a ring when you get back.
COZ it looks like york are really really going to go bust, talking to a couple of there fans after the match, the only thing they have of any value is a training pitch and the players we saw this afternoon?
would they have given town a game, it also makes you wonder how they are so high in the league?
anyway after a couple of pints gave this lad a fiver for there fighting fund.
OH WHAT FUN IT IS TO BEAT THE IMPS ON NEW YEARS DAY.
this was posted on the york board by a barrow fan

Excuse me while a share with you a story about Boston's keeper, Paul Bastock.
Twas back in the mid-90s when they were a mere Unibond team and we were playing a match at Holker Street. About 10 minutes from the end one of our centre halves, Tim Parkin, landed awkwardly and collapsed in a heap on the ground.
The rush of paramedics and the reaction of the players alerted us fans to the fact that the injury was serious. It turned out that he'd broken his leg in 4 places and the bone was protruding at all angles. As I'm sure you'll agree a serious injury.
So, how did our friend Mr Bastock choose to react? Well, by laughing and mock limping around his area. TWAT!. Our reaction was a bit frnezied....coins, cups of tea and even a bin lin found their way onto the pitch. Realising he had upset the Barrow crowd he spent the last 5 mins stood on his 18 yard line. When the final whistle went he made a dash for the dressing rooms although not before being clouted by our midfield enforcer. He ended up being smuggled out of the ground in the kit skip and their coach had to be escorted out of the county.
An enemy was born!
Two years later (Boston went back to the Southern League for a season) he became so wound up by the verbal abuse he was receiving that he vomited through nervous tension as we were about to take a corner and he trashed his own dressing room upon being sent off.
Sorry for boring you Yorkies but if someone would like to give him an almighty torrent of abuse on my behalf I would be most grateful.
Two players clashed when BUFC played Stevenage. Bazza ran to help the Stevenage player and was booed and mocked by the opposing fans, thinking he was getting involved in a mellie rather than trying to save the guy, as he was unconscious, Once the fans realised what he did, he got a big ovation everytime we played them.
Who cars about bloody Barrow..small time club, always tittering on the edge of existance. Move on you small minded prick.
HEard about the result to the VAT enquiry into your club???????????????????thought not!!!!!!!!!!2003 will reveal the truth!!!!!!!!Evans is an amatuer comapred to the track record of others connected with the club!!!!!!!!how do I know??????????????I am a civil servant!!!!!!!!Honest DW ha ha
we had the chairman from hell exeter swansea and york are now in a similar boat to you, does it have to be spelt out??????????
Never thought much of Thommo, and still don't, but credit to the performance which was easily the best this season with Shrewsbury made to look complete turd.
The reason was we played with 2 or 3 attackers at all times and RAN at the defenders who panicked, so congratulations to the manager for at last realising the way to win matches is to fucking go forward with pace.
As I stated against S-C Angel and Logan were the bollox again and now that Douglas has got some help, instead of being left on his fucking 'Jack Jones', we will only progress.
Well played!!
It was one of those days, and certainly made the journey back to falmouth worth it, I very nearly gave it a miss after recent performances, glad I didnt, if you are a burton brewer good luck this season, hope you go up along with yeovil.
Glad you mentioned that point, recently i had taken to not listening to the radio, but saturday was so different, i thought getting back to cov was a stinking journey but you have my utmost respect wcp
Glad you mentioned that point, recently i had taken to not listening to the radio, but saturday was so different, i thought getting back to cov was a stinking journey but you have my utmost respect wcp. are you coming up on boxing day?
Licoln City have just signed Michael Barrymore as their new goalkeeper. At a press conference Barrymore stated that plyaying behind 10 arseholes and in front of 3,000 pricks was an opportunity too good to miss.
A first-half goal blitz laid the foundations for Boston to stun in-form Shrewsbury with a resounding win at York Street.
The Pilgrims spectacularly halted their run of six conseuctive league defeats to inflict on Shrewsbury only their second loss in 12 games.
On-loan striker Richard Logan scored the opener from Ben Chapman's cross after 13 minutes and Jason Van Blerk then diverted the ball into his own net.
Logan was on target again with a glancing header from a Simon Weatherstone cross on the half-hour mark.
Logan could have had a first-half hat-trick but goalkeeper Ian Dunbavin saved his penalty after Stuart Douglas had been fouled by Matt Redmile.
Douglas added the fourth goal with a tidy header from a corner just before the break, Neil Redfearn scored Boston's fifth and James Gould rounded off the scoring in the final minute.
Not sure how good York are I didn't get to the game. But by all accounts your defense will need to be strong.
Hopefully on Saturday we can do you a favour by stuffinf Swansea.
unfortunatly i dont have any stone island sweaters or a burburrys cap to blend in with the lte kids in the boozers - i would stand out a mile in my matalan gear - do you have fashion police on the pub doors?
Fortunately for you not all of us wear stone island or burberry. As regards pubs you will be perfectly safe in the centre spot bar at the ground.Away supporters are always welcome in here and i can't recollect there ever being problems.

If we could shrink the earth's population to a village of precisely 100 people, with all the existing human ratios remaining the same, it would look something like the following:
There would be:
57 Asians
21 Europeans
14 from the Western Hemisphere, both north and south
8 Africans
52 would be female
48 would be male
70 would be non-white
30 would be white
70 would be non-Christian
30 would be Christian
89 would be heterosexual
11 would be homosexual
6 people would possess 59% of the entire world's wealth and all 6 would be from the United States.
80 would live in substandard housing
70 would be unable to read
50 would suffer from malnutrition
1 would be near death
1 would be near birth
1 (yes, only 1) would have a college education
1 would own a computer
When one considers our world from such a compressed perspective, the need for acceptance, understanding
and education becomes glaringly apparent.
The following is also something to ponder...
If you woke up this morning with more health than illness...you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.
If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation...you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.
If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep...you are richer than 75% of this world.
If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace ... you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.
If your parents are still alive and still married ... you are very rare, even in the United States and Canada.
If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.
Someone once said:
What goes around comes around.
Work like you don't need the money.
Love like you've never been hurt.
Dance like nobody's watching.
Sing like nobody's listening.
Live like it's Heaven on Earth.
A Scouser is sitting in a pub when a petite, snake-hipped man in gold lycra shorts and a pink crop-top minces up to the bar and orders a strawberry daiquiri. He takes a sip of his drink before leaning over to our Scouse friend and whispering into his ear, "If you meet me out the back in five minutes I'll give you a really great blow-job."
The Scally turns purple, grabs the guy by the throat, and proceeds to batter the crap out of him before throwing him head first through the bar's plate glass window leaving him in a bloody heap on the pavement outside.
The landlord, a little shocked by the brutality of the attack, says to our friend, "That was a bit much! What the hell did he say to you?"
"I don't know" replies the scouser taking a sip of his pint, "Something about a job."
Didn't see many of your lads up there at York mate.
So they're hardly likely to come to Boston, unless your like the Lincoln slopeheads and only turn out for Boston.
If you do beat us, you will probably be thrown out of the league in the new year if you dont get a new owner, to be honest a team without a ground is worthless, I wouldnt like to see any team go bust, but if you do then all results are struck from the record, If you do go tits up.
I hope that exeter swansea carlisle and bristol rovers have already beaten you, if so they will lose those points.
tonight - tea time - bbc2 - the new treasure-hunt girl
wipes the floor with anika rice.
watch it and report back to base with your opinions - lincoln and dagenham you can join in the fun too - seeing its christmas
remember who saw her first though

When SW could and should have leveled the scores we would have gone on and won, thommo is on the right track, only those who never went will have a pop at the team. If we keep on playing like that we will stay up.
I WAS at the match and was subjected to the same turd performance as per fucking usual!
Cort scored 3 identical goals and we couldn't do dick about it.... the manager takes the can for that debacle as he sets the defence.
Except for 30 minutes in the second half where we ATTACKED!!!!!!( i.e. where the team goes forward towards the opposition's goal) and had a bit of confidence we looked the bollox especially Logan and Angel but then we throw it away by subbing Logan and using Douglas as a lone striker and losing all momentum!
What a fucking shambles!
Thommo you're crap and have had your chance... so now the door's open...USE IT!!!!!!!
Just when we were pressing home our renewed attacking style thommo goes and alters it, had he not I think we would have got a point, saying that alan hanson would have had kittens watching us trying to defend in the first half. I say give thommo until the end of the chrimbo period if we have not clicked then it must be addios thommo.
btw who were the goshites, townenders?? or man utd supporting bostononians who happened to be in essex.
i wasnt at southend - one of the few away games ive missed - i find myself putting more effort into away games than the team.
get tommo out now - why wait untill after christmas?
ive never had any time for him - get him out now!
I have to agree with you mate.As an outsider looking in.unless you get rid of Thommo you are going back down. His biggest cock up was signing Battersby.
