Sure is.....from Dr.Martins mediocrity to the 3rd division in 4 years some going! ( and dont you jealous twats say we cheated, a lot of clubs do a lot worse and get away with it.) Now we are at the bottom of the league without a clue on the pitch ( ok so we created a couple of chances in the second half but so did they). Don't know what goes on in training but it ain't passing, moving, covering, marking, or running with the ball.

It seems that most of the Townenders (and I mean the bulk of them who are now spread around the ground) began supporting Boston when we were on the "up". They only know the good times.
When the opposition were given the TownEnd I thought it might be a blessing in disguise because the acoustics of the York Street end are far superior to the TownEnd. Unfortunately the "original" Townenders couldn't bear to loose the Townend, and situated themselves as close to the Townend as they could - rather than take up residence at the York Street end -which incidently used to be the "home end" for years up until recently. Some matches you get the original Spayne Laners chanting only for the Townenders to start a different chant instead of all of them chanting the same. From my position in the ground you can't make out what either group are chanting.
Until the situation any team that brings more than about 200 fans with them will have the upper hand.
On the playing field we have problems - but there is only one man who has created them - Steve Evans.
Steve Evans only knows how to manage football clubs by not following the Rules. I doubt he would be successful if there were no fiddles. Even with the fiddles last season we only just won the league - and look where we are now.
If we can avoid relegation this season there is hope for the future - but the rush to get promotion at all costs has left us very weak.
I find it difficult to believe that you're blaming Steve for this seasons miserable performances. He got this club into the league, and at a price, which we have paid, but no way can anybody blame him for us being crap on the pitch.
Tommo has been in charge for a number of months now and our style of play takes me back to the NPL days.
He is a defencive coach yet we leak goals at an alarming rate.
He has also caused friction within the side, not only with Daryl but with others as we saw from Ross on Sat. We don't know the whole story with Daryl but you can't blame him for being frustrated at not playing when there is a centreback and a non-contract player selected instead!
So the conclusion as to how this is all Evans' fault is remote, or perhaps just a vendetta against a successful manager........

Yes Lincoln have had a tought time financially over the past few years. The Board had to take some decisions that may have been unpopular with the local business community but these were decisions that had to be made in order to ensure the club's survival and they were made with the full consent of the creditors of the club. The club have been on the wrong end of CVA's in the past - as has every business in the country. So don't go preaching about cheating to us.
You are just discovering how tough it is to survive in league football (both financially and on the pitch). I don't want to see you go out of business but I do think that there would be some justice for the rest of the conference if you were relegated this season. I hope that you are.
I go away for a few weeks with the missus, come back and find out we're playing shit, letting goals in left, right & center and to top it all our star player and only real goal scorer has been transfer listed. You must all be disappointed that the reality of being a struggling 3rd division club with massive internal problems has set in this early in your league adventure. Most teams in this division have big problems but we are all used to the grind of Div 3 life, which you are not.

Since the summer my view of football has been altered forever, and for that I can only blame 1 person, and that person is Steve Evans, who put winning and personal glory before anything else, not least the good name of this club. Its now got to the stage where I don't feel any inclination to go up and down the country following the team I've supported for 26 years, and at the moment I don't know when or if I'll ever reach the same level of fanatacism that has been a big part of me for a long long time. The game isn't all about winning, its about enjoying yourself and feeling proud to be part of a club, and like I say, since the summer I feel I've been cheated and conned. I think back to the comments post Dagenham and cringe when I think of the 'lap of honour' taunts and the supposed banging on dressing room doors that the players didn't hear but Evans obviously did. The whole episode stinks and deserves the upmost contempt. My abiding image of winning the title is his comments about 'champions doing a lap of honour', yet another slur when such nonsence should have been furthest from his mind.
If I'm asked to give an opinion I'll give it, its a free country.
Scottishnellie, I respect your view, but think how Evans treated so many of the players he used over the last few seasons, very few if any have a good word for him. In my view what goes around comes around, and until he issues an apology for his actions concerning the charges he pleaded guilty to I'll continue to treat him with contempt.
As for what happened at Tiverton, I felt that Evans conducted himself disgracefully all afternoon, from the continual harranging of the officials to his disgraceful comments on the radio and his pathetic tantrum after the interview. Perhaps if a few of you had seen this episode you might have a different view.

Steve Evans has resigned as manager of Third Division Boston United.
Evans had been suspended by the York Street club pending a Football
Association hearing into contract irregularities.
He admitted four breaches of FA rules at a three-man disciplinary hearing in
Birmingham in July but denied four other charges.
The club were deducted four points from the start of this season and fined
£100,000.
Evans led the Pilgrims into the Football League for the first time in their
history when they won the Conference title last season.
He will be replaced by Neil Thompson, who has been acting manager at York
Street since Evans was suspended in July.
Thompson quit Boston on Wednesday following the 1-0 win over Swansea,
claiming that his position had become untenable.
But after extensive talks with chairman Des Wood, he decided to stay on.
Some Boston supporters had called for the reinstatement of Evans before the
season started.

Boston United caretaker-manager Neil Thompson has torn up his resignation and will after all be staying on as Pilgrims boss.
After the Nationwide League new boys had moved off the bottom of Division Three by beating Swansea City 1-0 on Wednesday night, Thompson resigned announcing that his position had become untenable.
A section of the Boston crowd had been calling for suspended manager Steve Evans to be reinstated, even though he has pleaded guilty to four charges which in part led to last season’s Nationwide Conference champions being handed a four-point deduction by the FA at the start of their first Football League campaign.
Thompson had also been criticised for placing striker Daryl Clare on the transfer list after the former Grimsby player refused to sit on the substitutes’ bench during Saturday’s 2-0 defeat by Oxford.
After extensive talks with Boston chairman Des Wood following his resignation, however, Thompson has decided to return to his position.
Confirming his U-turn exclusively to footballmatters@nationwide, Thompson said: "I felt I had to make my stand, but Des has been very supportive. He appreciates the difficulties that I’ve been working under and I’m now convinced that I have a future at the club.
"I’m delighted to be back on board and I’m sure the players can build on the Swansea result and that we can get back to the most important thing at this club – the football.
"I hope the events of Wednesday night – not just the result – will galvanise everybody to come together. The fans got behind the team against Swansea and our win could have been bigger.
"I’ve told Daryl that the door is open, but he hasn’t picked up the olive branch. He’s still in my thoughts as a player but it’s up to him to make a decision - the ball’s in his court."
Thompson will resume control of team affairs as Boston prepare for the long journey to fellow strugglers Carlisle on Saturday.
Chairman Wood said: "I’m very pleased that Neil has re-considered. I think the turmoil in his mind over lots of issues just got the better of him. I believe his decision to make a stand was slightly premature.
"The board considered his position and we felt that, given the four-point deduction and the six we’d got, 10 points would put us towards the middle of the table and that made us feel Neil is doing his job properly."
The second part of the FA hearing into the behaviour of Steve Evans and former Boston chairman Pat Malkinson, due to start on Wednesday, will now be held on November 11th.
The pair have been accused of paying £8,000 to a former Boston player in an attempt to persuade him not to co-operate with the original FA inquiry into the contract irregularities affair.
