ok lemme break it down..

back in the day like when i was 14 or so...i bought the insane poetry debute lp album....i was deeply into the geto boys so i dug this kinda music..

well at any rate it became one of my fav. albums at the time...

but my parents threw it away along with all my other hardcore albums and it was like the only cd released in my area of it.

well now that my history of the band is laid out..

to the question:

i was watching an americas most wanted show.and i was suprised to hear the name "insane poetry" mentioned...it showed a reinactment of a member of insane poetry going on a shooting spree at a nightclub with an ak-47...killing his ex girlfriend if im not mistaken...

i think it said he killed himself also...i cant remember exactly because it was like 7 years ago..

i took this to be the lead singer of the group back then..and have wondered what the story was..

can someone break down what really happened...thank you.

a good idea would be go to the archives area and look at the video from faces of death for how ya gonna reason with a psycho. That might be what you're describing but still thats intresting as fuck

It defintely was not the lead rapper in the group. That is Cyco, and he's still making records, which would be impossible to do if you commited suicide. Maybe what you saw on Americas Most Wanted was somebody that re-inacted the scenario from that song "Till death do us part" and they mentioned Insane Poetry because thats where he got the idea from. Who knows... We'll just have to wait till Cyco can answer this question for us. This is totally unrelated, but a few months ago i saw Chi-Ali on America's Most Wanted for murder or some shit.

Are you SURE they said "Insane Poetry" and not something else? Also, if he killed himself, why would he be on America's Most Wanted?

i'm not sure if it was americas most wanted..it was a program like it...like i said it was like 6-7 years ago..

and i specifically remember them saying "a memeber of the hardcore rap group insane poetry"...

it never said which member...so i just thought it was the lead singer..

i remember it said he went on a shooting spree at a nightclub killing his ex girl..i thought it said killed himself at the end..but cant remember exactly.

so i was always telling my friends about insane poetry lead singer doin all that..

There is a true story behind all that. Cyco has told me the story, but he'll have to give the details. If i remember correctly, he said he knew about the story and might have known who the guy is. But, we'll wait for him to post............

nah man, think about it... if it was cyco, and he did it and shot himself and lived, he would have been locked up for at least a decade for murder. He put out a couple songs on vinyl arond '98 and blacc plague dropped in '96. I think he heard the name wrong, it wasn't Insane Poetry. Unless he's thinking about Emdee or maybe somebody who appeared on the Stalking with the nightbreed song.

basically wasnt anybody in my camp, niggas is not tryin to go to jail or anything like that unless provoked to, which wouldnt allow me the chance to give u guys the goods, as far as i know, my homeboys friend named ryan said his favorite rap group was insane poetry and his favorite song was manic depressive..he was interviewed a week b4 his untimely death, my man got pulled over by the cops and started bussin' at'em with a high powered strap, they say he killed himself but autopsy reports show something different, who knows but that is the reall!!!! story,oh emdee does his own thing, thats my dog, he really never rapped, streak is still d.j.in but making $$$ at it, kmc,broke up moons ago, tee the o.g. was on the adam sadler soundtrack for waterboy...nightbreed lives on with me and pope and my boy cisco and big ruben, but i rep it on record and life and they rep it period...sorry took so long to answer some ?s, u know life full of issues
